AfterHour came to Scope with a dream project: Stonk Madness, a stock market twist on March Madness. 64 stocks. Bracket-style picks. Prizes for the top 20 entries.
And if someone nailed a perfect bracket? They’d win a real Lamborghini. Naturally, we were all in. Here’s how we brought the idea to life.
The Partnership
AfterHour handed us the vision and said, “Make it happen.” We collaborated closely to design a one-of-a-kind stock bracket experience, going far beyond typical tournament setups. From frontend polish to backend performance, every piece was engineered to stand out.
The Solution
We built Stonk Madness from the ground up with a custom matchup engine powered by live stock data, historical trends, and derivative analysis. We also created Stuey, a stock companion that surfaces web insights, delivers predictions, and adds some personality to the game.
We integrated seamlessly with AfterHour’s auth system for smooth onboarding and used Redis caching to ensure instant data access. The result was a lightning-fast, insight-rich bracket experience built to thrill.
